Doctor Bolesław Grzegorz Piecha, who is the chairman of the Health Committee warned in the beginning of the interview that deputy health minister had said himself that he did not know whether the deaths had been vaccine-related. The doctor also emphasised that every drug has a side-effect, "but it should not prevent us from vaccinating Poles". He then drew attention to the fact that undermining the safety of a drug is the same as undermining the competence of pharmaceutical agencies.

"There are special pharmaceutical institutions that determine this and they are paid to give such opinions. We have to trust specialist because they are the best source of reliable information. For now flu vaccines are the most effective remedy," commented the MP.
Then Piecha emphasised that Minister Kopacz is not competent to determine whether a given drug is harmful or not.
"Mrs. Kopacz is a clerk and she does not have a clue about the effectiveness of vaccines. WHO and Health Committee have their own specialists. Why will Mrs. Kopacz not ask them what they think? I don’t know why our Health Ministry does not trust anyone," said Piecha.
According to him the real reason why vaccines will not be purchased is that the Ministry of Health hoped that they would be bought by the EU.
