For the last 25 years "WPROST" weekly has been the symbol of bold and uncompromising journalism. Its financial results, the best in the market segment of opinion-forming weeklies, are the proof of that. The magazine also plays a key role in the shaping of opinions in Poland. It annually awards the Kisiel Prize and the Man of The Year title - both of which belong to the category of the most prestigious distinctions in Poland.
NUMBER 1 OPINION-FORMING WEEKLY
For many months now "Wprost" has been the number one opinion-forming weekly magazine in Poland. It is the most frequently bought, most willingly read and the most influential opinion-forming weekly in this segment of the market. It also has the most popular website and the highest advertising revenue among Polish opinion-forming weeklies. In July 2007 "Wprost" came first in all rankings measuring the market position of opinion-forming weeklies. "Wprost" will celebrate its 25th anniversary in December 2007.

Average total sales of "Wprost" are 176, 724 copies - an increase by 18.1 % in comparison to the analogous period in 2006. "Polityka" came second with its average sales of 171, 819 copies in July while "Newsweek Polska" occupied the third position on the list of best Polish opinion-forming weeklies with the sales of 133, 313 copies (Source: ZKDP).

Readership
In July 2007 "Wprost" led the ranking of most frequently read opinion-forming weeklies in Poland. 11.25% of the Poles confirmed having read the magazine in that period. It was followed by the weeklies "Newsweek" (10.30%) and "Polityka" (7.75%) (Source: Polish Readership Survey, CCS factor, all respondents).

As far as the newsweeklies are concerned, "Wprost" also goes unmatched in the ranking of most influential Polish media published by the Institute of Media Monitoring. In July 2007 the information published by "Wprost" was cited as many as 1,096 times by other media, compared to 314 citations for "Newsweek" and 151 citations for "Polityka". In July 2007 "Wprost" grossed in advertising revenue 1 million PLN more than "Newsweek" (which came second) and over 3 million more than "Polityka". THE BEST OPINION-FORMING WEEKLY
"Wprost" weekly is the most influential opinion-forming newsweekly in Poland. According to the Institute of Media Monitoring, information published by "Wprost" was cited by other media as many as 5, 467 times between January and July 2007. By way of comparison, for "Newsweek Polska" the result was 2, 528 citations and for "Polityka" - just 782. This year "Wprost" has stirred public interest with its cover featuring Angela Merkel with the Kaczyński brothers and by revealing the recordings of Józef Oleksy and Father Rydzyk. It has also published information about Archbishop Stanisław Wielgus's contacts with the communist secret police under the former regime.
Since January 2007 "Wprost" weekly has continued to occupy the fourth position among the most frequently cited Polish media, giving way only to the biggest national dailies: "Rzeczpospolita", "Gazeta Wyborcza" and "Dziennik".

For many years "Wprost" has enjoyed the highest level of popularity among advertisers. In 2006 its advertising revenue was 121 million PLN - 9 million more than the revenue of "Newsweek Polska" and 19 million more than "Polityka". As far as advertising revenues are concerned, "Wprost" is the leader not only among the newsweeklies, but also among all Polish magazines.

To the great extent "Wprost" owes its leading position in the ranking of most frequently cited magazines, as well as its status of the leading opinion-forming weekly, to its website Wprost.24. The website has been operating since mid-January 2007, publishing current and up-to-date information brought in by the magazine's journalists. Wprost.pl was second only to Onet.pl. in the ranking of most frequently cited Internet portals published by the Institute of Media Monitoring.

THE SALES OF "WPROST"
According to the latest data published by the Association of Press Control and Distribution, in June 2007 "Wprost" enjoyed the total sales of as many as 156, 156 copies, more than any other opinion-forming weekly publication in this segment of the market. It constitutes a 16% increase in the magazine's sales in comparison to the analogous period last year.
