Toffler claims that electronic newspapers will have the texture and appearance of genuine paper, and they will "behave" accordingly. The scientist claims that this is where the future of the press lies.
Before it comes to this, paper will gradually change its role. "For now people are used to it, and some of them simply like it, like I do," said the writer. Alvin added that as early as in the 1960s he foretold the invention of electronic books, though it was not technically possible at the time.
