Only few of the 102 possible delegates will be able to make it to the congress.
"At the recent debate of the Supreme Council Piskorski questioned its legitimacy and did not allow a congress to be created, which would arrange the chairmanship" informs Lesław Lech, one of the 3 dismissed deputy chairmen of SD and an activist of SD in Dolny Śląsk.

"Piskorski did not meet our expectations" says Lech. “We wished to be a centrist party, while the activities of the new chairman amount to attacking the Civic Platform and bringing out himself”.
According to Lech , Piskorski has a trauma concerning the Civic Platform, since he had once been dismissed from the
party. But this should not be the concern of SD – a party aspiring at creating a new standard of the Polish political scene. Piskorski’s vague past is another thing raising doubts. "When we accepted him to our party, he said he had been acquitted of all the accusations, but now it turns out CBA has a different opinion on this topic," says Lech.
Lech finds it hard to say whether Piskorski will take advantage of the coming congress to sell the property of the party, but does not exclude such a possibility.
"The Supreme Council has passed a resolution precluding property decisions being made, but the current chairman does not take into account the decisions of the Council, since most of its members have been dismissed."
"The only organ which could suspend the members of the party is the board of the party," says Marcin Kalek, a member of the board. Kalek added that none of the members had been dismissed within the past few months and denied the fact that the property of the party were to be sold or that Pawel Piskorski were to be prosecuted.
Wprost24 was unable to reach Piskorski himself and hear his opinion on these issues.
